Beautiful Chinese Origami Font

Chinese designer Guan Pucha has created this beautiful Chinese typography using the art of paper-folding.

At first glance it looks like the design may have been created in Photoshop or Illustrator, but the characters were actually created by cutting out and carefully folding card to beautiful effect.

The design was posted on Behance and is called 折紙体(Zhézhǐ tǐ)”origami font”. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be an actual font, and this is just a concept. It’s a shame as the font would be perfect for titles and headers.

If you’re interested about the poem, according to baike.com it is a work by 蔡邕 (Cài Yōng), a scholar from the Han Dynasty.

Maybe if you have some spare time on your hands, and are handy with a craft knife, you could have a go at making your own?
