Great idea to include audio with the lesson(s), Dave!. Many thanks.

    • Thanks! We’re hoping to expand on this in the future, so if you have any feedback about the format just let me know.

      • yes. i think Any language lessons with audio or vedio will be better, especially for the beginners. listening and speak ing is prior to the reading and writing at the beginning.

        • yeah you’re right, I need to focus more on providing audio from now on.

    Hello Dave,

how about splitting the two Chinese readings of the new bite and having one at the beginning and one at the end of the audio? I think it might have more impact that way, or how about:

News bite > vocab > news bite > English read-thru > news bite.

I think hearing the Chinese 3 times might help in retaining the vocabularly. Or you could use the ‘sentence structure’ patterns to create examples.

    Just a couple of ideas.

    • Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean about listening at the beginning, then hearing the vocab, then hearing it again. The thing that worries me, though, is jumping right into Chinese, I might do vocab -> news bite -> English ->news bite. Still not sure, I’ll see what it sounds like.

Just a little English correction: “the companies important strategic decisions” should be “the company’s important…”.

Thanks for the great mini-lesson. The audio really helps.

    • Cheers Erica, most of the time is spent looking at the Chinese so it’s easy to overlook te English :-p
