The Million Dollar Scooter

Apple Daily Reports:  Carrying  $1,300,000NT (£26,000/$44,000US) in cash and on his way to pay workers wages, a Taipei County building contractor yesterday crashed her scooter and was taken to hospital. On the way to hospital he awoke and shouted “There’s over a million dollars in the luggage compartment of my scooter”. When the police heard of the story they immediately stood guard over the “million dollar scooter” and waited for his wife, Mrs Hong, to collect the money before giving her a police escort. Mrs Hong was extremely thankful.

That is a huge amount of money to have in cash and seems insanely dangerous, I’ve no idea why she wouldn’t use the banking system to deliver to wages?
