The 12 Stages of the Burnout Cycle – Chinese Translation: Stage 02
I hope you haven’t burnt yourself out learning Chinese since the first part of this series! Here is the second stage of The Burnout Cycle translated into Chinese, this time looking at meeting your own high expectations by taking on more responsibility.

Stage 2 – Working harder
To meet their high personal expectations, they take on more work and buckle down. They become obsessed with handling everything themselves, which in turn demonstrates their notions of “irreplaceability.”

Note: I decided to go for ‘insist on’ (堅持) instead of ‘obsessed with’ in the Chinese version (堅持管理所有的事情) since using obsession in Chinese for this kind of thing seemed strange, though if you have a better way to translate this section please post below.

Your vocab section translates 堅持(坚持)as “to handle; to manage”, but in the notes section this is correctly defined as “insist on”.
